Black sesame seeds contain very high calsium, protein and other very health-benefitial compounds; they are also very aromatic when cooked and give unique savor to the food. I like black sesame a lot and these black sesame muffins are great snacks! I brought them to work and all my colleagues loved them!

 

Ingredients (make about 12 muffins):

80g butter (softened)

60g sugar

1 egg

50ml milk

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extrac

100g cake flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

3 tablespoons black sesame seeds

To make the muffins:

1. Preheat oven to 180C. Mix flour and baking powder.

2. Beat the softened butter with medium speed in a medium bowl until creamy. Meawhile mix in sugar in 3 times; make sure they are well mixed before another addition.

3. Lightly beat the egg; gradually mix it with butter. Blend in milk and vanilla extract.

 

4. Sift in flour and baking powder toghther. Mix well.

5. Mix in all sesame seeds and mix well. Scoop the batter into muffin cups (about 80% full).

6. Bakin in the preheated oven for 25min.
